ELECTIVE CAESAREAN

Immediate hospital support if required
Breastfeeding initiation & ongoing support
Minimum of 4 postnatal visits, including all your screening tests for baby; weight checks and feeding support
NHS maternity care comparison:
Booking appointment/Scan/Bloods referral to hospital consultant clinic if needed under local Trust policies.
15-20 Minute face to face contact at 16/(25)/28/31/34/36/38/40 weeks.
Limited phone support from named midwife; 24hr service via hospital if needed.
Birth in Hospital or home if staffing allows.
Postnatal checks & screening on days 1/3/5/10 (usually in a clinic which you travel to).
Discharge to Health Visitor & GP services by day 28 at the latest - usually day 10-14.

Booking appointment at your home with access to private scans and blood tests if so wished. Referral to hospital consultant clinic if so wished.

Unlimited phone support from your known midwife; 24hr on call service from 37 weeks.
Birth place of your choice with guaranteed access to homebirth and a birth pool if you wish. We are expertly trained by one of the most experienced breech practitioners and confident in breech and twin physiological birth.
Postnatal checks/screening/feeding support/emotional support on days 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7/10/14/18/21/28 - in your own home.
Discharge to Health Visitor & GP services usually by day 42 or when you feel comfortable.
